Cosmetic Dentistry

People seek dental treatment each year because they desire healthy, brilliant, attractive smiles. If you want to improve your smile and need services such as teeth whitening, bonding, cosmetic reshaping, and porcelain veneers or crowns please book an appointment.

We can close gaps between front teeth, cover stains, and reshape teeth and gums to craft a magnificent smile that you can't wait to share with the world.

Porcelain veneers are essentially thin shells (about as thick as a contact lens) that are applied over your natural teeth. They are custom designed and fitted to your mouth and can be used to alter the composition of your smile.

Crowns are durable coverings that surround the entire visible portion of the tooth, providing extra strength and stability to the tooth as well as hiding any cosmetic defects. Crowns protect teeth that are cracked or fracture, add durability to teeth that have had a root canal procedure and protect teeth that support a dental bridge or denture.

We provide very aesthetic full porcelain crowns or porcelain fused to metal ones depends on your needs.

Dental Implants

Implants are the standard of care for the replacement of missing teeth. If you are missing just one or multiple teeth, implants are the best option to replace the look, feel, and function of missing natural teeth. The benefits of implants greatly outweigh their cost, as implants are one of the most successful and long lasting dental procedures performed and usually do not require replacement or repair during their lifetime. Contact us today to find out how implants can improve your smile!

Restorative Dentistry

Tooth decay is caused by an accumulation of plaque. If this plaque is not brushed away with regular (twice daily) cleaning, it will turn into tartar – an accumulation of bacteria that requires a professional scale and clean to remove. This tartar is what slowly erodes the tooth enamel, causing holes that make your teeth susceptible to tooth decay.

If left untreated, tooth decay can cause severe pain and discomfort, and lead to other conditions such as inflamed pulp and periodontal disease, which can result in tooth loss! We combat tooth decay with the help of dental fillings that seal the tooth from further damage.

We can use composite resin (white fillings) or amalgam to seal your tooth, although most patients prefer composite resin as it is color matched to your natural tooth and is virtually unnoticeable.

In order to ensure a filling does not compromise your smile we will shape and tailor the filling specifically to your tooth structure for a natural shape.

Dentures

If you are suffering from multiple teeth loss or an ill fitting existing denture, we can help! Complete or partial dentures with or without implant support can restore confidence, improve appearance, and enable you to enjoy your favorite foods. We offer a variety of solutions (acrylic, metal cast or flexible denture) for all budgets and can often begin treatment on your first visit. Contact us today to get started!

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a device that’s used to replace one or more missing teeth. It’s called a bridge because it spans the gap left by a missing tooth, securing to the teeth on either side of the gap. The bridge supports one or more artificial teeth or crowns that are tinted and shaped to look just like natural teeth. Bridges are often preferred over dentures because they’re very secure, staying in place with strong, permanent cements.

Endodontics & Root Canals

Root Canal Treatment is sometimes necessary when you experience a severe toothache that cannot be fixed by a filling alone. This pain occurs when the nerves and dental pulp that nourishes and gives feeling to the tooth becomes infected or inflamed. This can happen due to:

  • Gum disease
  • Repeated dental treatment on a specific tooth
  • Breakdown of an existing filling or crown
  • Extreme wear of a tooth
  • Extensive tooth decay
  • Cracked teeth
  • Trauma
  • Complication of dental procedure
  • Deep filling

We perform root canal treatment so that you can keep your natural tooth which is always more beneficial than a prosthetic solution.

Gum Disease Treatment

Did you know that gum disease strikes three out of four adults? Also called periodontal disease, gum disease occurs when plaque, the sticky, colorless film produced by normal bacteria in your mouth builds up and eventually hardens into tartar. Plaque and tartar lead more bacteria to develop, which will break down the bond between your teeth and gums.

Because the early symptoms, such as swollen and bleeding gums, are mild, many people ignore these warning signs and the disease progresses. Left untreated, periodontal disease can contribute to tooth loss and other serious health problems, diabetes complications, heart disease. We will perform a thorough evaluation of your teeth and gums to check for signs of gum disease. If we find problems, will suggest periodontal therapy to halt the damage and re-establish your oral health.

Traditional treatment for gum disease required invasive tools and lengthy procedures -- but with the soft tissue laser, that we use in our office, we can zap through the bacteria-filled pockets to stop infection at the source. The soft tissue laser also promotes reattachment to stop infection from occurring again.

In addition to treating gum disease, we can also use the soft tissue laser for the following procedures:

  • Biopsy of abnormal-looking areas for oral cancer detection
  • Gum grafting to fix significant gum recession, often after gum disease
  • Treating persistent cold sores

TMJ/Bruxism Therapy

If you experience regular headaches, uneven tooth wear, or popping and clicking of your jaw, you may suffer from TMJ disorder. Also called TMD, TMJ dysfunction involves misalignment of the temporomandibular, or jaw, joints. The TMJ joints control the opening and closing of your jaw. Improper joint alignment can irritate nerves and cause muscles to spasm, resulting in a host of unpleasant symptoms such as migraines, neck pain, and ringing in the ears.

We want to relieve your discomfort and create a comfortable smile. We will evaluate your whole mouth and determine the cause of the TMJ disorder. We will then suggest appropriate therapy, which may include restorations to build up your bite, an oral appliance to prevent nighttime teeth grinding, and/or exercises to strengthen your jaw muscles.

Athletic Mouthguards

Sports activities advance your overall wellness, but they can prove dangerous to your dental health if you aren’t careful. Studies show that sports-related traumas represent 13 to 39 percent of all dental injuries. Mouthguards are plastic oral appliances that fit over your teeth to help protect your smile as well as your lips, tongue, face, and jaw.

Selecting a mouthguard should begin with reviewing your options, which include ready-made, mouth-formed, and custom mouthguards. Ready-made and mouth-formed mouthguards are available at drug and sports stores, but they can feel bulky and make speaking difficult. Constructed from impressions of your teeth, custom mouthguards conform to teeth shape and provide the best fit. We provide custom mouthguards for our athletic patients of all ages. Be sure to take good care of your mouthguard by periodically checking it for damage and rinsing it thoroughly after each use.
